ENG - Laboratorium Pieśni (Song Laboratory) is a group of 8 female singers from Tri-City (Poland).

Using traditional, polyphonic singing they perform songs from all over the world: Ukraine, Balkans, Poland, Belarus, Georgia, Scandinavia and many other places. 

They sing a capella as well as with shaman drums and other ethnic instruments (shruti box, kalimba, flute, gong, zaphir and koshi chimes, singing bowls, rattles etc.), creating a new space in a traditional song, adding voice improvisations, inspired by sounds of nature, often intuitive, wild and feminine.

The traditional songs are often brought from their source - different regions of Poland, Europe and world, by the members of the group - having their unique history and evolving in the course of work. Finally they are performed in a new form - traditional or enriched.

Laboratorium Pieśni is a winner of TRYTON PRIZE on FAMA Festival 2014 for the greatest artistic personality of the festival.

NL - Laboratorium Pieśni (Song Laboratory) is een groep van 8 zangeressen uit Tri-City (Polen).

​

Via traditionele, polyfonische zang brengen zij liederen van over de hele wereld: Ukraine, de Balkan, Polen, Belarus, Georgië, Scandinavië en vele andere plaatsen.

Zij zingen zowel a capella als begeleid met sjamaanse drums en andere etnische instrumenten (shruti box, kalimba, fluit, gong, zaphir en koshi chimes, klank schalen, ratels etc.).  Zij geven een extra dimensie aan traditionele liederen dmv stem improvisaties, geïnspireerd door natuurgeluiden, vaak wild en vrouwelijk....

FR - Le pouvoir féminin dans toute sa splendeur, des voix qui vous font frissonner, qui accélèrent votre rythme cardiaque et des chants qui vous ramènent à des cultures anciennes et au monde des traditions.  Quel beau voyage ! Quel plaisir de les accueillir en Belgique.

Laboratorium Pieśni (Laboratoire du Chant) est un groupe de 8 chanteuses de Tri-City en Pologne.

Tout en utilisant le chant traditionnel, polyphonique, elles interprètent des chansons du monde entier : de l’Ukraine, de la Pologne, de la Biélorussie, de la Géorgie, de la Scandinavie et de beaucoup d’autres endroits.

Elles chantent a capella avec des tambours chamaniques et d’autres instruments ethniques (shurti box, kalimba, flutes, gong, carillons koshis et zaphirs, bols chantants, instruments à percussion, etc.) créant un nouvel espace dans la musique traditionnelle, ajoutant des improvisations de voix, inspirées par les sons de la nature, souvent intuitives, sauvages et féminines.

Les chant traditionnels proviennent souvent de la source même c.à.d. des différentes régions de Pologne, d’Europe et du monde à travers les différents membres du groupe qui ont chacune leur propre histoire et qui ont évolué au gré de leur cheminement.  Elles apportent donc une touche personnelle à la fois traditionnelle et nouvelle.
Laboratorium Pieśni a gagné le prix TRYTON du FAMA Festival 2014 qui reconnait la personnalité artistique du festival la plus marquante.
